Get Ready For CUMP!

  • Required Supplies

Parents are required to provide a few personal supplies for each child upon enrollment. These items are needed DAILY and must be LABELED with your child’s name:

    A full-sized backpack (approximately 16″)

One full change of clothing, including socks, in a gallon ziplock bag

A plastic nap mat (ex. KinderMat)

A blanket/pillow nap mat (ex. nap mat)

An insulated lunch box, including ice packs and utensils if needed

Snacks and meals (please review the Nutrition Policy in the Parent Handbook)

  • Prepping Your Child for CUMP

Children develop at their own pace, so there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to getting ready for preschool. Kids don’t need to reach a specific academic level or master certain skills before starting. Our teachers are dedicated to helping each child grow and reach their next set of goals.

To help prepare your child for preschool, the most effective strategy is to talk about it. Discuss the activities they will enjoy, the supportive teachers, and the new friends they’ll make. Familiarizing them with what to expect can ease their fears about the unknown. Reassure them that they will stay at preschool while you’re away but that you’ll return after a fun day. Additionally, bringing your child along during school visits or events can help them get comfortable with their new environment.

  • Orientation

All parents enrolling their child at Crowley United Methodist Preschool must attend an orientation and complete the registration process for the school year. This orientation is held during the "Meet the Teacher" event in August. Parents who enroll their child after the school year has started will need to arrange their orientation with the preschool director before their child’s first day.
